Practical advice for getting your space found, booked and paid for. New to hosting? Start with List your space.
01Photos that get booked
- Shoot in daylight with the lights on; avoid flash.
- Lead with a wide shot of the whole space from a corner.
- Add close-ups of the equipment coaches care about — racks, mirrors, flooring, hoops.
- Show the space as a coach will find it: tidy, empty, and up to date.
02One space per bookable area
List each room, court or floor separately, even inside one building. A coach looking for a turf area should not have to read about your yoga studio, and separate spaces can be booked at the same time by different coaches.
03Setting your price
Look at similar spaces nearby on The Gym Connect and price by what the space offers: size, equipment and how many people it holds. A new listing with no reviews often books faster slightly below the local average.
You keep the hourly price minus our commission — see pricing for a worked example.
04Availability and buffers
- Open only the hours you can reliably honour.
- Add a buffer after each booking if the space needs resetting or cleaning.
- Choose instant booking for more bookings, or request-to-book if you want to approve each coach. Requests expire if you do not answer, so reply quickly.
05House rules and insurance
Say what matters up front — footwear, noise, food, cleaning, and any liability insurance coaches must carry. Coaches confirm your rules before they book, which is what you can point to if there is a problem.
06Getting paid
Connect a payout account from your Earnings page. After each session, your share moves from pending to available and is paid to that account automatically.
07Choosing a cancellation policy
Flexible policies attract more bookings; stricter ones protect high-demand slots. Compare them on the cancellation policy page. If you cancel a booking yourself, the coach is refunded in full.
